Well it was the last pre season cup match and the Black Ducks had made it to the Grand final against the much favorite side Subiaco Lions. The lions earned their berth with a massive shellacking of Peel Thunder by 129 points, while our Swans came away with a two point win over West Perth 97 to 95.
So I kicked the two kiddies (1 and 2) into old Fordie and set of for our first night match which was being played at Medibank Stadium in Leaderville, Perth.
This year we had boosted our list with new recruit Guy Richards which had been delisted by Collingwood, Andrew Krakouer (Richmond) and Mathrew Spencer which came back from Geelong. And of cause we had a beaut bunch of kiddies from the colt side which won the third grade Grand Final last year.
Between each quarter during the match you are able to go onto the field and have a kick around with your kiddies. Here is Sarah having a shot at goal in the second quarter break, as you can see we have a bit of work to do but at least shes giving it a go.
Well to make a long blog short we won
the match and it was a frigging ripper, we lead all the way with 5 goals in the first quarter . Then stayed in front by 5 goals in the second. Then went to 7 goals in the third and run away in the end with a nine goal win, You little beauty!
